Akelox 325 mg Tablet (Cefpodoxime + Clavulanic Acid) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Akelox 325 mg Tablets contain a combination of cefpodoxime and clavulanic acid, used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including those resistant to standard antibiotics. This medicine is commonly used for: Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia) Ear, nose, and throat infections Urinary tract infections Skin and soft tissue infections It works by combining cefpodoxime (a cephalosporin antibiotic that kills bacteria) with clavulanic acid (which inhibits bacterial resistance mechanisms), making the treatment more effective. Composition Each film-coated tablet contains: Cefpodoxime (as Cefpodoxime Proxetil) – 200 mg Clavulanic Acid (as Potassium Clavulanate) – 125 mg Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Take exactly as prescribed by a healthcare professional, usually once or twice daily. It is best taken with food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset.
