Amlodipine Tablet 5 mg (Amlodipine Besilate) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Amlodipine Tablets contain amlodipine besilate, a calcium channel blocker used in the treatment of high blood pressure and certain heart-related conditions. It helps improve blood flow and reduces the workload on the heart. This medicine is commonly used for: Management of hypertension (high blood pressure) Treatment of angina (chest pain) Prevention of cardiovascular complications such as heart attack and stroke Improving blood circulation in patients with heart conditions It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and lowering blood pressure. This helps reduce strain on the heart and improves oxygen supply. Composition Each tablet contains: Amlodipine Besylate – equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg Excipients – q.s. Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Take as prescribed by a healthcare professional. It is usually taken once daily, with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water and do not exceed the recommended dose. The tablet can be divided into equal doses where applicable.
