Amlodipine 5 mg, Valsartan 160 mg, Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg Tablet – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Amlodipine, Valsartan, and Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets combine three antihypertensive agents for the effective management of high blood pressure (hypertension). This combination is used in patients who require stronger blood pressure control than single or dual therapy can provide. This medicine is commonly used for: Management of essential hypertension (high blood pressure) Treatment of moderate to severe hypertension requiring combination therapy Reduction of risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke Long-term control of blood pressure in high-risk patients It works through three complementary mechanisms: Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow Valsartan blocks angiotensin II receptors, reducing vessel constriction Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine output, reducing excess fluid and blood volume Composition Each film-coated tablet contains: Amlodipine Besylate USP – equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg Valsartan USP – 160 mg Hydrochlorothiazide USP – 25 mg Excipients – q.s. Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Take as prescribed by a healthcare professional. It is usually taken once daily, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not exceed the recommended dose.
