Amlodipine BP 10 mg Tablets (Amlodipine) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Amlodipine BP 10 mg Tablets contain amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of angina (chest pain). This medicine is commonly used for: Management of hypertension (high blood pressure) Prevention and treatment of chronic stable angina Management of vasospastic (Prinzmetal’s) angina Reduction of cardiovascular risks associated with elevated blood pressure It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing the workload on the heart. Composition Each tablet contains: Amlodipine Besilate BP 13.86 mg equivalent to Amlodipine – 10 mg Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Take as prescribed by a healthcare professional, usually once daily. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water, with or without food, at the same time each day.
