Anomex Ointment – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Anomex Ointment contains a combination of hydrocortisone acetate, lidocaine, zinc oxide, and allantoin used for the relief and management of anorectal discomfort and inflammatory skin conditions. This medicine is commonly used for: Relief of pain, itching, and irritation associated with haemorrhoids (piles) Treatment of anal fissures and anorectal inflammation Soothing of perianal skin irritation and discomfort Reduction of swelling and inflammation in the affected area It works through multiple actions: hydrocortisone reduces inflammation, lidocaine provides local anaesthetic relief from pain and itching, zinc oxide protects and soothes the skin, and allantoin promotes healing and skin repair. Composition Each gram contains: Hydrocortisone Acetate BP – 0.25% w/w Lidocaine USP – 3.0% w/w Zinc Oxide USP – 5.0% w/w Allantoin BP – 0.5% w/w Excipients include: Microcrystalline Wax, Light Liquid Paraffin, White Soft Paraffin Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Topical Apply a small amount to the affected area as directed by a healthcare professional, usually 2–3 times daily and after bowel movements. For external use only unless advised otherwise by a doctor.
