Aprovasc 150/5 Tablets (Amlodipine 5 mg + Irbesartan 150 mg) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Aprovasc Tablets contain a combination of amlodipine and irbesartan, used for the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients requiring combination therapy. This medicine is commonly used for: Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) Patients not adequately controlled on single-agent therapy Reduction of cardiovascular risk associated with hypertension Improvement of blood pressure control through dual-action therapy It works by combining two mechanisms: amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, relaxes blood vessels, while irbesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), prevents blood vessel constriction, resulting in lowered blood pressure. Composition Each film-coated tablet contains: Amlodipine (as amlodipine besilate equivalent to amlodipine 5 mg) – 5 mg Irbesartan – 150 mg Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Take as prescribed by a healthcare professional, usually once daily. The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and can be taken with or without food.
