Aqua-Tears Eye Drops 0.7% (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Aqua-Tears Eye Drops contain hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, a lubricating agent used for the relief of dry eye symptoms and ocular irritation caused by reduced tear production. This medicine is commonly used for: Relief of dry eye syndrome Treatment of eye irritation and discomfort due to environmental factors Lubrication for eyes affected by prolonged screen use or contact lens irritation Supportive care in conditions causing reduced tear film stability It works by forming a protective and lubricating film over the surface of the eye, helping to retain moisture and reduce dryness, burning, and irritation. Composition Active ingredients: Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose USP – 0.7% w/v Borax BP – 0.19% w/v Boric Acid – 0.2% w/v Sodium Chloride BP – 0.45% w/v Potassium Chloride BP – 0.37% w/v Benzalkonium Chloride NF – 0.01% w/v Preservative: Sterile Aqueous Base q.s. Excipients: Boric Acid, Borax, Benzalkonium Chloride Solution, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Ophthalmic Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by a healthcare professional. Frequency depends on severity of dryness. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
