Aquaclav Suspension 200 mg/5 mL + 28.5 mg/5 mL (Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Aquaclav Suspension contains a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, a broad-spectrum antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections, especially in children and patients who require oral liquid formulations. This medicine is commonly used for: Treatment of respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia Management of ear, nose, and throat infections including otitis media and sinusitis Treatment of urinary tract infections Management of skin and soft tissue infections It works through a dual mechanism: amoxicillin kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, while clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes that cause bacterial resistance, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of amoxicillin. Composition Co-Amoxiclav Oral Suspension BP (228.5 mg/5 mL) Each 5 mL of reconstituted suspension contains: Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to Amoxicillin – 200 mg Diluted Potassium Clavulanate BP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid – 28.5 mg Excipients – q.s. Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Reconstitute with clean, boiled and cooled water as directed before use. Shake well before each dose. Dosage should be prescribed by a healthcare professional based on age, weight, and severity of infection. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
