Aquafix Powder for Oral Suspension 100 mg/5 mL (Cefixime Trihydrate) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Aquafix Powder for Oral Suspension contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections, especially in children and patients who require liquid formulations. This medicine is commonly used for: Treatment of respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia Management of ear, nose, and throat infections including tonsillitis and pharyngitis Treatment of urinary tract infections Management of uncomplicated gonorrhea It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of bacteria and helping to clear infections effectively. Composition Each 5 mL of reconstituted suspension contains: Cefixime USP (as trihydrate equivalent to anhydrous cefixime) – 100 mg Excipients: Sucrose USP, Sodium Benzoate USP, Color Ponceau 4R INH, Colloidal Silicon Dioxide USP, Essence Dry Vanilla INH Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Reconstitute with clean, boiled and cooled water before use. Shake well before each dose. Dosage should be prescribed by a healthcare professional based on age, body weight, and severity of infection. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
