Aquamal Powder for Oral Suspension 20/120 mg (Artemether + Lumefantrine) – Uses, Dosage & Benefits Aquamal Powder for Oral Suspension contains a combination of artemether and lumefantrine, an antimalarial medicine used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, especially in patients requiring a liquid formulation. This medicine is commonly used for: Treatment of uncomplicated malaria Management of malaria caused by susceptible Plasmodium falciparum strains Rapid reduction of malaria parasites in the bloodstream Relief of malaria symptoms such as fever, chills, and weakness It works through a dual mechanism: artemether rapidly reduces the number of malaria parasites in the blood, while lumefantrine eliminates remaining parasites and helps prevent recurrence of infection. Composition Each 5 mL of reconstituted suspension contains: Artemether – 20 mg Lumefantrine – 120 mg Excipients – q.s. (as per formulation requirements) Dosage and Administration Route of Administration: Oral Reconstitute with clean, boiled and cooled water as directed before use. Shake well before each dose.
