Emprofen suspension is a liquid medicine that helps to ease mild to moderate pain, headache,  toothache earache, body pain, inflammation, and fever in children. Suitable in children ages 3 months to 12 years. It is fast acting, with a pleasant taste , alcohol-free and its effects can last for up to 8 hours.

Emprofen Suspension Ingredient 

It contains Ibuprofen 100mg as the active ingredient. 

How does Emprofen Suspension work?

Emprofen suspension contains ibuprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). it functions by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, substances in the body that cause inflammation and raise body temperature.

Emprofen Suspension Dosage 

• 3-6 Months (Over 5kg):  2.5ml Spoonfuls three times daily.
• 6 Months-1 Year: 2.5ml Spoonfuls three-four times daily 
• 1-4 Years: 5ml Spoonfuls three times daily
• 4-7 years: 7.5ml Spoonfuls three times daily 
• 7-12 Years: 10ml Spoonfuls three times daily. 

How to use Emprofen Suspension 

• Emprofen Suspension should be used for short-term only. 
• Do not use Emprofen suspension in children suffering from chicken pox.
• Shake the Emprofen suspension bottle well before use. 
• Always use the measuring device provided in the Emprofen suspension 
• Do not give Emprofen Suspension to babies under 3 months 
• Emprofen Suspension Should not be given if your child weighs less than 5kg. 
• The usual dose of Emprofen Suspension in children is 20mg per kg of body weight in divided doses, every 6-8 hours if required.
